1) What is a triplex mast? This has three stages, making it more flexible as the mast collapses to lower height, but can also extend to a greater height than a two stage mast. This makes it particularly suitable for work in areas with low ceilings and/or doorways and is the best choice if the forklift is to be used for loading or unloading shipping containers. 2) What is side shift? This is an attachment which can be fitted to your forklift to allow easy sideways movement of pallets; this is controlled by a single hydraulic lever. 3) What is an inching pedal? On most Japanese makes of forklifts, this is usually the left hand brake pedal. When depressed slightly it disengages the transmission from drive to neutral. This enables the driver to lift a load without forward movement of the forklift. 4) What is a Tine Positioner? A Tine Positioner is an attachment which allows the driver to change the spacing between the Tines (Forks) by depressing a single hydraulic lever while seated on the machine saving time and injury. Particularly useful for transport companies with varying size pallets & boxes to lift. Please click here to request a quote or call us on (07) 5426 6958. |
